FD/EMS From Brad Benard:
This month with the dry weather has been
our busiest. We had 6 calls for fire and assisted with 3 Ems calls.
All 6 were here in our township. We had to purchase a new booster
line for our brush truck 381 since a fire last month claimed it. The
agriculture training was a huge success. We had 6 departments from
through the county come for it. It was two very long days but we
learned many techniques for heavy equipment rescue and most
importantly we learned how to rescue a patient from being engulfed
in a silo. With the amount of local farming these skills will prove
useful but hopefully never needed. Thank you all for allowing us to
use the hall for that. Lastly, I was called yesterday by a guy doing
a bike tour through our area and he asked me if they could set up a
water/relief station in our parking lot with a porta John. I had
told him I would have to ask as I’m simply the fire guy. If you can
let me know the answer I will relay it to him. That is all I have
for this month.
EMS
from Ryan Knoph:
May 16th till June 20
5 calls
Accident, Seizure, Trauma, Sick person,
Cardiac issue
Yearly state inspection will be done
sometime in the next month. So, there will be a license renewal fee
being sent once I apply. Will be needing to update some supplies
that expire at end of June. Most of the supplies have a shelf life
of 2 years. Someone from the board will need to get ahold of
McKesson to get our account unlocked. They told me it has to be done
by an approved township board member, because it is under their
name. Never received an email or anything on an approval to get the
ambulance turbo looked at by Bayview.
