Meeting was called to order at 7 P.M. by Clerk R. Double Supervisor K. Silkworth.

Board members present: Bonnie Elliott, Bryan Landis, Sherry Boudreau, Robin Double, Kelly Silkworth

Acceptance of meeting minutes from March with corrections, Motion B. Elliott, Support B. Landis AIF M/C

NOTICE-THE FEBRUARY 2023 MINUTES THAT WERE ON THE WEBSITE FOR ONE WEEK HAD TWO ADDITIONAL CORRECTIONS THAT DID NOT GET CORRECTED. THE CORRECTIONS WERE MADE AND THE MINUTES WERE UPDATED ON THE WEBSITE.

Old Business

Previously in March Minutes: Current CD ends March 27th from Peninsula Federal Credit Union.

Continue current amount of $176,188.91 plus interest that will be received on March 27th for 15 months at 4.60% APY. Adding an additional $50,000 out of State Savings checking account to the CD in Peninsula Federal Credit Union.

April 19th update: When S. Boudreau brought the check to Peninsula Federal Credit Union, the interest rate rose from 4.60% APY to 4.75% APY.

ARPA Updates:

-Estimates for a standby generator for township hall. Tabled

-New air Purification System, currently waiting on another estimate. Tabled

Hourly rate for trainings; Kelly will call MTA. Tabled
 

New Business

Manistique Public Safety Update. Public meeting to discuss EMS help has been scheduled for April 25th at 4:15 pm at the District Court House in Manistique. To date: the meeting was canceled.

Lawn Bids; received 3 lawn care bids

Agawa Rentals LLC. Costs are as shown:

 New Town Hall- $155.00

 New Playground- $25.00

 Main Cemetery- $250

 Ball Field- $55.00

 Old Cemetery- $55.00

 Fire Department and surrounding grounds $25.00

 Cut, TRIM and blow on bi-weekly basis, May 1st -October 15th 2023. Dates can be adjusted. Will move to MOW as needed in fall months including cut, trim and blow.

Adopt Meeting Dates: Post Meeting dates on Inwood Township Hall Door, post yearly dates in Advisor and website. Also put ad in Advisor of website information and contact information for board members. Motion K. Silkworth, Support B. Landis AIF M/C

Pay baseball registrations for Inwood Township Kids. Motion K. Silkworth, Support B. Landis AIF M/C

Certificate for Compliance Liquor Commission. Inwood Township doesn’t qualify, form submitted BY S. BOUDREAU.

Marq6 update. Getting more information and looking at contract before moving forward with possible antenna on roof of pavilion.

County Commissioner Dan Hoholik granted Inwood Township $50,000.00 from County’s APRA Funds. Money will be put toward roads, specific roads to be determined

EMS Received a grant from Sault Tribe, a check will be written to Cooks volunteer EMS in the amount of $2,697.27

Correspondence

Municipal Underwriter Policy Change: K. Silkworth contacting

BS& A Software invoice for tax system for $746.00 and assessing system in the amount of $923.00 for coverage dates of May 1st 2023 to May 1st 2024. Pay total of $1,669.00. K. Silkworth, Support B. Landis AIF M/C
