 New Business

-Sheriff on mileage – Absent

-Dog/Noise ordinance – Eight bear dogs barking all day and night has caused some disturbance in the community. Police were involved and gave warnings until township creates an ordinance. Board has compared to Manistique ordinance, that anything over four dogs must have a kennel license. Board will also be looking at county ordinances to get ideas on creating one for Inwood. Kelly to be writing a certified letter to the dog owner with a warning on future ordinance. -TABLED

 FD/EMS

F.D. has gotten three quotes from three different banks for new truck. USDA is offering a $50,000 match grant. If F.D. can match $50,000 themselves it looks like they would qualify. They can find out as early as November/December or as late as March. It may be a couple week wait to hear back from USDA on the paperwork. A new tanker could cost as much as $180,000. F.D. asking the board to help fill out paperwork and if approved by USDA, for the board to purchase new tanker. $50,000 if the grant goes through - $120,000 from bank loan. F.D. will be looking at $20,000 annually if everything goes through, with contingencies on borrowing money from the bank with lowest interest to buy new or used tanker. Based on approval of the grant - motion S.Roberts Support B. Landis AIF M/C

-New face shields for helmets to be ordered. Manistique gave Inwood theirs because of shortage. $257.00 for four face shields. Motion C. Watchorn Support B. Elliott AIF M/C

-EMS needs to order supplies from EMS account.

-Had a 4-wheeler accident, but all went well considering.
