Pledge of allegiance was said

Meeting was called to order at 7 P.M. by Kelly Silkworth Supervisor.

Board members present: Cindy Watchorn, Kelly Silkworth, Bryan Landis, Sara Roberts, and Bonnie Elliot

Accepted previous meeting minutes as presented by clerk. Motion B. Landis Support S. Roberts AIF M/C.

Accepted the financial report as presented by treasurer. Motion S. Roberts Support B. Landis AIF M/C

Old Business

New Business

-Paul and Polly Nedeau approved to purchase sixteen flags to be hung on poles, Motion C. Watchorn Support B. Landis AIF M/C

-New vacuum needed for the hall - per Gail (janitor) Motion S. Roberts Support C. Watchorn AIF M/C

-Letter of interest from Jean Anderson presented for mowing of cemetery and new hall. Prices listed in letter of interest. Motion B. Landis Support C. Watchorn AIF M/C

-Asbestos removal and abatement price to be determined by 4/21/17. Pierson Asbestos needs to remove entire ceiling of basement at the old hall. Tentatively scheduled for 4/24/27. Removal of asbestos must be done prior to demolition of old hall.

-Cemetery clean up – items must be removed before May 6^th, 2017 and no new items until after May 13^th, 2017.

-Approval of liquid chloride at .762/gallon delivered and applied. Anticipating sometime in June with 3-5 day notice. Need damper weather before it can be done. $6,400.80 just for chloride. Need to pay approximately $700.00 to the county road commission to do the roads that the chloride trucks are unable to get to. Motion B. Landis Support B. Elliot AIF M/C

-Munising supervisor wanted permission to hang three signs (Munising Township to purchase) on Inwood Township property. Motion S. Roberts Support C. Watchorn AIF M/C

-Joan Gossett wants to purchase new sign for the hall in honor of Segerstrom family. – TABLED

-New picnic tables for new pavilion – option for public to purchase a table in remembrance of family member, in honor of, etc. Plaques will be hung under the pavilion on posts next to each table. Ten tables to be purchased. Approval to get estimates. – TABLED

-Old trophies are able to be picked up at the new hall on May 3^rd, 2017 from 6-7pm.

FD/EMS

-F.D. – mutual aide in small grass fire in Thompson. Has been relatively quiet. F.D. has removed refrigerator and stove from the old hall.

-EMS – Cindy not present – no news.

Correspondence

Letter received from Department of Treasury stating over payment. Amount of $405.28 to be received within the next few weeks.

Public Comment

-Wanted update on getting a street light for the new hall driveway.

Payment of Outstanding Bills

Payments made in the amount of $20,897.58 and deposits in the amount of $1,071.11. Motion C. Watchorn Support B. Landis AIF M/C

Motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:29 p.m. was made by B. Landis Support C. Watchorn AIF M/C

Others present for the regular meeting at the Inwood Township hall were: Keith Rochefort, Mary Rochefort, Don Rochefort, Dorothy Rochefort, Pat Carley, Jan Carley, Loren Swayer, Sandy Brooks, and Terry Brooks.
