Old Business

-Mike Peterson surveying has done new survey on the new part of the cemetery. He found all markers, finishing the project today. Will be sending found information and a bill. – TABLED

New Business

-Rose Pann from Michigan Works spoke. She stated that 38% of Schoolcraft County is at poverty level. Michigan Works is trying to branch out by helping not only with finding jobs, but also with paying for college, college supplies, CDL testing, hotel expenses, etc. They also help build resumes. Visit the office with any questions.

-Sandy Roder has been researching on how many people in the downtown Cooks area that may be interested in switching to Marq 6 service. It is currently not available past Cooks hill due to the current location of the tower. Marq 6 is looking for other options for an addition tower to help the people in this area. They are looking to talk to Ed Rondeau for possible tower placement. All people that are looking to switch would need a router. Marq 6 is very secure and reasonably priced. If you have any questions you can look on their website.

-Discussion on hall rental pricing “For Profit”. Ex. Rummage Sale. Asking to reduce price from $100 to $75. Pricing to stay the same until February when all prices are revisited.

FD/EMS

FD – all has been calm. Prepping for Corn Roast. Discussed tanker options. Pricing anywhere from $180,000 - $255,000 for new and $127,000 - $137,000 for used. Maximum length that can fit at the Fire Hall is 25 feet. Got a quote from State Bank. A $200,000 loan at 10 years would be $24,642.93 annually at 3.93% interest. Or a 7 year at 3.7% and $20,000 annually. Board requested to get more ideas on tankers and more bank loan quotes.

EMS – Sending EMTs to conference. Wanting Board to pay for them to go at $100/person per day for Friday and Saturday, and $40 on Sunday. Coming out of FD Budget. As many that want to go can go.
