Inwood Township Meeting Minutes

Pledge of allegiance was said

Meeting was called to order at 7 P.M. by Kelly Silkworth Supervisor.

Board members present:  Cindy Watchorn, Kelly Silkworth, Bryan Landis, Bonnie Elliot, and Sara Roberts

Accepted previous meeting minutes as presented by Clerk. Motion B. Elliott Support B. Landis  AIF M/C.

Accepted the financial report as presented by treasurer. Motion S. Roberts Support B. Elliott

Old Business

-Ridge Road Issues – Lady at Tax Equalization said “Everything is taken care of”. Ryan McDonough decided to put up a handmade sign with “Private Road” sign underneath. The green street sign is currently down. Fire numbers to be listed on Thunder Lake Road (County Road 437). TABLED  

 

New Business

-Budget 2018 – BSN Programming is needed for Cindy to deal with taxes. A new computer will need to be purchased for Cindy in order to be compatible with the new program. Purchases for the new program, new computer, and new Quickbooks will be purchased by February meeting.

 

-BOR/Election Worker raises – Election Workers currently make $10/hour and BOR gets paid $13. Discussed making shifts during elections to keep people wanting to come back to work them in years following. After talking about what other surrounding township workers get paid it was decided to pay $15 for BOR and Election Workers. Motion B. Landis Support S. Roberts

 

FD/EMS

-F.D. has been quiet. Discussed the possibility of purchasing the old Sidetracks property for the Fire Department with option to expand the F.D. Building in the future. Township has first dibs on the purchase. F.D. needs to get information on the property to propose amount for new budget.

 

-Side door at Fire Hall needs to be fixed. Also need to get an estimate on new keypad lock for two doors. A light outside the Fire Hall indicates whether or not the furnace is on – needs to be checked if it is working properly.

 

EMS- Ambulance is leaking antifreeze.

  

Correspondence

-Letter from Anderson & Tackman (Auditor) explaining increases in pricing. Price for auditing is raised to $4,200 and the F-65 form has been raised to $300. Motion B. Landis Support B. Elliott

 

Public Comment

  

Payment of Outstanding Bills

Payments made in the amount of $12,245.20 and deposits in the amount of $91,041.69 . Motion B. Landis Support S. Roberts AIF M/C

 

Motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:37pm was made by S. Roberts support B. Landis AIF M/C
